The main aim of all the engineering efforts is to develop or manufacture products that precisely satisfy the requirements, and do so in an intelligent way, incurring the minimum expenditure possible. Hoses are very flexible and durable and thus are used in a number of installations that require motion or a routing requiring bends and folds. Not only is hose assembly good for flexible installations, but is also less time consuming and cheaper compared to a tube assembly.

When installing a hose in an assembly, there are certain aspects that should be kept in mind.

As a hose is flexible and can be bend to from circle or semicircle, many people often bend it into a smaller radius than the recommended size. This is a wrong practice and shortens the life of the hose. When bending and installing a hose, the expansion and contraction factor of the hose should be taken into consideration.

Also the contraction rate of a hose is more than its expansion rate, thus it is advisable to cut more of the hose portion than required, to cover up for the higher contraction. Also, it is very important to put resistant covern the hoses as this helps in preventing the hose against abrasion, friction and other such external effects, in turn elongating the hose’s life.

A properly and neatly assembles hose installation is always better than a tangled and twisted installation.
